About
I do security things at Superhuman (formerly Grammarly) and am an event organizer for the Defcon Cloud Village. I’ve spent the last 15 years working across cloud infrastructure, platform security, and software supply chain security; most of it in technical leadership roles at companies like Rippling, Brex, and Cruise, leading small teams while trying to keep fast-moving infrastructure from becoming a liability. I enjoy building security programs that revolve around the people with a culture of empathy, psychological safety, and a strict “no brilliant jerks” policy.
I run SpeakerOps and the CFP review program for Cloud Village across 5+ conferences. I’m a member of the CFP program committee for BSidesSF, and occasionally speak at conferences like Defcon, KubeCon, BSidesSF, and more.
Outside the day job, I enjoy rock climbing, traveling, espresso, and game nights with friends. I love my wife and cats. I’m based in Seattle.
